This hands-on, experiential, student-based manual is a highly visual step-by-step approach to creating applied PowerPoint presentations. Included within the presentations are instructions on how to create and how to present a presentation. PowerPoint presentation tips further enhance applied presentation creation. Our minimalist manuals have the student using PowerPoint as a tool to develop business/industrial/technical presentations that reflect what they may be involved with in their future careers.

It assumes that the student has no experience or background with MS PowerPoint software. It is a very user-friendly manual and is meant for self-paced learning with little or no input from an instructor. Topics include:

• Slide creation with bullets
• Background colors and designs
• Animation
• Slide shows with transitions
• Clipart
• Word Art
• Internet searches for photos
• Charts (graphs)
• Tables
• Organizational charts
• Hyperlinks to other slides, email, and to internet websites

Distance delivery and e-learning classes are greatly enhanced with the use of these materials as questions are answered by working through the materials.

It is very thorough. There are many presentations that the student must work through to reinforce all of these topics. There are 10 different assignments each of which requires approximately 1.0 hours. The manual is designed for approximately 8 - 15 hours in a course.
